There was a man standing at the foot of Golgotha Hill. He was rejected by his own people because of a terrible disease—leprosy. His body was ruined, his skin was broken, and his appearance was horrifying. Society had cast him out. He was abandoned, forgotten, and treated like he was already dead.He sat alone on a rock, staring into emptiness, whispering to himself:“There is no hope for me.There is no encouragement for me.No one loves me.I am finished.”His heart was filled with sorrow, guilt, and unbearable loneliness. He believed that even God had turned away from him.
But while he was sitting there, something unexpected happened. He felt something flowing down from that mountain. At first, he thought it was rain. But it wasn’t.It was blood. He was shocked. He looked down at his hands. His eyes widened. He could not believe what he was seeing.Blood was flowing from the hill.So he began to look up.He leaned forward. He stared harder. He searched for the source. And then… he saw it.He saw a Man hanging on a cross.A Man whose body was torn apart. His flesh was ripped open. His wounds were deep. His face was bruised beyond recognition.
His body was disfigured. And His blood was flowing like a river from the cross. The leper stood frozen. He felt a deep pain in his soul.Because what he saw on that cross looked like him. That Man was not beautiful in appearance. He was not shining like a king.He was crushed, broken, rejected, and wounded. And the leper thought:“This Man looks like me…He is suffering like me…He is rejected like me…”Suddenly, the leper’s heart broke.Tears filled his eyes.He walked closer to the blood flowing down the hill, trembling. And when he touched that blood…Something supernatural happened.
Instantly, his skin became clean. His deformities disappeared. His filth was washed away. His imperfections vanished. His shame was removed. His sins were wiped out.In one moment, the leper was transformed. The man who was once rejected became whole. The man who was once abandoned became accepted. The man who had no hope was filled with life.He fell to his knees and cried out:“Lord! I am a sinner…but Your grace reached even me!Even while You were on that cross, You remembered me!”And at that very moment, he beheld something greater than healing. He beheld the majesty of Christ.
He saw the excellence of Jesus. He saw the sovereignty of the Savior. And he experienced salvation right there—at the foot of Golgotha.Every guilt he carried… was blotted out.Every fear he lived with… vanished.Every abandonment he suffered… was erased.Because he encountered the cross. And that is the truth even today:Whenever we come to the cross, whenever we experience conviction like that leper did in the valley below Golgotha, whenever we accept the blood of Jesus Christ.
His blood is ready to cleanse us.His blood has power. It can wash every sin.It can remove every filth. It can heal every broken soul.It can restore every rejected life.No matter how ruined we are…No matter how dirty we feel…No matter how hopeless our past seems…The blood of Jesus Christ is still flowing. And it still has power to save.
